Process Operation of Fluid Bed Dryer:
First the material is fed on the shaking steel bed through which hot air flows. The high-pressure hot air flow fluidizes the bed of material by contacting each particle. The airflow is controlled throughout the length of the dryer to maximize fluidization to handle wet and sticky materials. As the material starts passing through, it loses the moisture gradually until the desired dryness is achieved. Once the desired dryness is achieved, the material is passed into a cooling zone. In this stage, the hot air is replaced by the cool air that reduced the temperature to the required point.
